Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni

Buddha Shakyamuni, the historical Buddha, is the founder of Buddhism in this world. ”Buddha” is simply a title which means “Awakened One” – someone who has awakened from the sleep of ignorance and sees things as they truly are. A Buddha is anyone who is completely free from all faults and mental obstructions. Every living being has the potential to become a Buddha.

An empowerment is a traditional ritual ceremony and special guided meditation which is open to anyone. During the meditation, we are led through a series of contemplations and visualizations by which we receive special blessings that heal our mental continuum and awaken our pure potential or Buddha nature.

In conjunction with the empowerment ceremony a commentary will be given on how to solve our problems by relying upon Buddha Shakyamuni's perfect wisdom. The day will conclude with a chanted prayer focusing on an overview of the entire Buddhist path to Enlightenment. Everyone is welcome to this event regardless of previous experience.
